We have now had our Solar system for three months and it is performing beautifully. Active Energies Solar, LLC certainly installed our system with perfection. The installation crew arrived each day when they said they would (a huge accomplishment in today's construction industry) and were very knowledgeable and courteous. We were informed each day of what was accomplished and what was planned for the next day. AES was present for all inspections and made sure Jefferson County requirements were met and the system was fully permitted. AES also worked with XCEL Energy to confirm the PV system met all of their conditions for a solar installation that is grid-tied. We love watching the new meter going in reverse (feeding the grid), knowing the money we are saving. The convenient location of the inverter helps me to view daily (I can't help myself) what wattage the system is producing, which by the way often times is producing well about the designed level.

The system performs great and looks great!

For us, going with a PV system was both one of economics and green. We calculated a payback of our capital investment of from 7 to 8 years unless energy prices go up faster than the conservative value we used to evaluate the installation. It is our belief that if we choose to sell our home prior to that payout time frame, the PV system will be a perfect selling point that could conclude a deal.
